Muhammad ibn Tayyib al-'Alami (d. 1136 AH/1722 AD) was a Moroccan music theorist and the author of The Companion of the Performer (al-Anis al-Mutrib). His teacher was Bu 'Isami (d. ca. 1103 AH/1690 AD) also a famous music theorist.[1]
